Established in 2013, APM Geo Limited (apmgeo) is a consultancy based in the South-East of England, UK, that provides specialist geospatial services and advice. Our clients include a range of Government organisations, local authorities, charities and private companies.
The company was founded by Andy Murdock, a Chartered Geographer (GIS) and Ordnance Survey Accredited Consultant with 18 years experience in the geospatial industry. apmgeo is built upon this expertise and a passion for solving geographical problems.
We bring together specialist teams to help organisations derive greater value from location information. Working with associate consultants in the fields of earth observation, environment, urban planning, transportation (among others), we offer a flexible and responsive approach.
We play an active role in the UK geospatial industry and are supporting it through various activities and providing mapping support to community projects. Here's how we are putting back:

Andy Murdock Chairs the Final Assessors' Committee for Chartered Geographer Applications for the Royal Geographical Society and also sits on the Professional Advisory Group. In addition to assessing applications, Andy also promotes and supports the scheme at various events.
Andy Murdock helped set up and leads the Association for Geographical Information (AGI) Early Careers Network which is providing training, mentoring and support to geospatial professionals as they embark on their careers. Through a regular series of events including webinars and networking, we are building a community to support the next generation of geospatial professionals.
We're part of the team that developed OpenPopGrid, a free, open 10m gridded population dataset for England and Wales. Based on the 2011 Census, this datasets offers the best spatial representation of UK population currently available.
Last year we supported the following charities with donations: Emmaus, Scouts, Barnardos. Our staff are also involved in a variety of other voluntary projects, such as practical nature conservation and wildlife recording, including providing field support to the Solent Wader Ringing Group for their cannon netting of waders.
We are a contributor to the OpenStreetMap project, capturing buildings and other features.
